Before we came to a final decision on what our film was going to be about, we came up with a few ideas to see what we could produce. Some of our ideas were:
1. A businessman who is also a hitman who aims to deliver a package deal as part of his mission. The opening part of the film would consist of the businessman receiving the package and being told what to do with it. This would create an enigma as the audience will not know where the package came from.
2. A guy comes out from a club, and we witness fighting scenes in the club, not knowing why the fight is happening.
3. A guy wakes up the next morning from a night that involved a lot of alcohol with bruises and cuts not knowing how he got them.
Welcome to my blog, hope you enjoy reading what i have beeen researching in my media studies project. :)

Introduction Of Group Project
For our media studies project, we have been asked to produce a short film opening of 2 minutes of any genre that we like. The other members of my group are Callan McCauley and Luke Longman. We have all agreed to share our roles in the process of filming, for example acting, editing and being a cameraman. The name of our production company is called ‘Boom Productionz’ which emphasizes the fact that our films are urban and modern. The name of our actual film is called ‘Flashback’ where we show a man waking up in the morning not remembering what happened to him the night before. Our target audience is aimed at a youth generation ages between 15 – 24. Our film is similar to the likes of Adulthood as it is aimed at the same urban generation and because of the scenes that occur in it.

Initial Task
Our initial task for our media studies project consisted of my two other group members and me to create a film with the following media techniques, Match-on-action, shot-reverse-shot and some form of dialogue. The initial task is compulsory and it enables us to show my other media colleagues a glimpse of our media qualities. It is only a short clip of roughly 30 seconds long, where we used a high definition video camera, and using all of the media techniques mentioned.
